FAQ

What is Salt Therapy and how does it work?
Salt therapy is a microclimate similar to an underground salt mine. The halo-chamber walls and floors are covered with a salt layer, and dry salt aerosol (NaCl) is blown into the chamber, creating a curative environment identical to the microclimate of salt caves. Halotherapy is 100% natural, safe and drug-free, providing effective relief from various conditions.

How can my health be improved?
Salt Therapy can help improve symptoms such as breathing, sneezing, coughing, shortness of breath were improved and medical drug usage may decrease significantly.

How many sessions will I need?
Every Patient is unique and responds differently to the Salt Therapy. The number of sessions and frequency of visits depends on the type and severity of a Patient’s condition. We typically recommend a course of at least 8-10 treatments over a period of 8 weeks. Whilst you may feel some improvement after one session, a series of treatments is best for long term results.
Is salt therapy recommended for children?
Salt therapy is a 100% drug free treatment with no artificial elements. The treatment is suitable for children over the age of 1 year.

How sterile is the Salt Spa?
The microclimate of the Salt Spa is 3 times cleaner than that in a sterile surgery room and therefore it is almost impossible to catch an infection or bacteria during therapy. A stable hypoallergenic, hypobacterial environment is maintained in the therapeutic room.

I thought salt is not good for us. Why is good in the lungs?
Ingesting too much salt is linked to high blood pressure.  However with salt therapy you will breathe the dry saline aerosol into the respiratory system, which is a therapeutic use of exposure to bacteriologically clean salt air.  The concentration is 1-10mg/m3 in the Salt Spa and a normal adult’s daily recommended salt intake is 6g so the amount of salt going into your respiratory system is really low.
