Gala Events and Theming
The Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa, Galway is the choice of venue for social calendar events in Galway such as the Galway Races, Galway Arts Festival and the Galway Oyster Festival. The hotel is delighted to be the chosen venue for black tie events throughout the year. Previous prestigious gala dinners include the Nelson Mandela Tribute Dinner, Special Olympics Ball and the Galway Oyster Festival. The hotel has hosted concerts in conjunction with the Galway Arts Festival including Bob Geldof, Christy Moore and Damien Dempsey. Other events include Tommy Tiernan, Bell X 1 and the Waterboys.

Inis Mór Ballroom
The hotel’s main event suite, the Inis Mór Ballroom has 800 m2 of space with a ceiling height of 5.8m and offers excellent flexibility. It can be enjoyed in its entirety for large events such as an elegant wedding, black tie gala dinner, fundraising events, quiz nights, fashion shows, various sporting events and concerts or alternatively the room can be divided into three individual spaces ideal for more intimate occasions. Soundproof partitions allow for three separate event areas. Up to 1000 guests can be accommodated within the main ballroom for a reception and up to 680 guests can be seated for a gala dinner.
The pre-conference area, located beside the Inis Mór Ballroom is the perfect venue for cocktail receptions and pre-dinner drinks and includes two dedicated bars.
The Inis Mór Ballroom is located on the ground floor of the hotel and lighting and music equipment can be easily accessed through its own dedicated loading bay.
Veranda Lounge
The Veranda Lounge gives guests at the Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa Galway another wonderful option to meet and mingle, with a very different feel. The Veranda Lounge is quietly elegant with a fresh air of luxury – a deluxe lounge ideal for a lingering lunch, an indulgent afternoon tea, or a decadent evening of cocktails and gossip!
The initial dramatic impact in The Veranda Lounge is created by the magnificent chandeliers, these spectacularly sparkling crystal chandeliers are designed and made specially for The Veranda Lounge, and the lights within gently change colour over the course of the afternoon or evening, creating atmospheric shifts in colour harmonies and tones and casting scintillating shadows on into the night. The Veranda Lounge is ideal for a sociable work event, an evening with friends or even a private party of an extra glamorous nature!
