The Galway Film Fleadh
takes place in 2017 from Tuesday July 11th - Sunday 16th. Ireland's leading Film Festival, the Fleadh is a six day international film event held every July and brings a diversity of film making from around the world. The Fleadh is very much a film lovers’ festival and attracts directors, actors, cinematographers and artists of all generations and cultural backgrounds.
Now in its 29th year, the central goal of the Galway Film Fleadh remains unchanged: to bring together audiences and filmmakers within an intimate environment, and share a common experience – the wonder of cinema. The Fleadh’s diverse audience is made up of the general cinema going public, film buffs, industry professionals and invited guests. Across the 6 days of the festival, the festival curates approximately 100 feature and short film screenings. Those who love stories will find a wide range of cinema taking place to suit all audiences. Screenings take place within the Radisson Blu Hotel, the Town Hall Theatre and the Cinemobile. The Radisson Blu also hosts a series of industry events collectively called the Galway Film Fair. Ireland’s only film marketplace, the Fair brings together a wide range of industry guests from around the world to take part in the business of telling stories and selling stories.
