Galway City Museum
The Museum is a beautiful building which is located down at the Spanish Arch overlooking the River Corrib. It is a brilliant source of information on the rich heritage & history of the city.
It is open from Tuesday to Saturday 10am- 5pm and Sunday 12pm -5pm. The museum is closed on Monday.  (The Museum is open from Easter Sunday to the end of September).

Corrib Princess
The Corrib Princess offers a fantastic cruise on an all  weather boat departing from Woodquay in the city centre. The journey gives passengers spectacular  views of the River Corrib and onto Lough Corrib. The Corrib Princess takes you past castles and places of historical interest showing you a view of Galway you just cannot experience on foot.

Galway Playgrounds
Galway has a wide range of dedicated play facilities catering for everyone from toddlers to teenagers. You will find items such as slides, swings, climbing walls, mazes and much more.
Many of Galway's playgrounds feature other fun facilities including  beautiful walking routes, forest  trails and picnic areas. 
The closest playground in Galway City from the Radisson Blu is Millennium Children's Park on University Road near  the Galway Cathedral.

Galway Aquarium
The National Aquarium is home to Ireland’s biggest display of sea and fresh water life. You can see young and freshly hatched fish or learn about the huge variety of life in the Estuary, Harbour, Lighthouse, Mill Pond.  The main  attraction within the aquarium is the 120 tonne Ocean Tank showcasing over 200 species including cod, pollack and small sharks. There is a chance to hold starfish, crabs and sea scorpions.  The building is located on the Salthill promenade overlooking Galway Bay. It is open daily from 10am until 5pm daily and closes at 6pm in the Summer.

Salthill Promenade
A visit to Galway is not complete without a stroll along the Promenade at Salthill.  There are several beaches to visit, the diving board at Blackrock, views across to Clare and of course you must kick the wall at the end of the Promenade. A time honoured tradition. 

Leisureland 
Leisureland is a  perfect attraction for all the family. It includes 3 pools with the highlight being the 65m water slide. The baby pool includes a bubbly pool and  many other fun water sports. There is also a learning pool and the 25m swimming pool. Galway Beaches
You will be spoilt for beaches in Galway city. The nearest beach to the hotel would be the Promenade in Salthill followed by Silver Strand in Barna. There are many beaches in Spiddeal such as Tra Mor and a little further away is An Doilin in Carraroe.
Dogs Bay and  Gurteen Bay are equally fantastic and they are located 2 miles outside the picturesque village of Roundstone in Connemara, Co. Galway.

Burren Nature Santuary
Burren Nature Sanctuary is  only 30 minutes from  Galway city  in the beautiful and unique Burren region. Here you can explore the fairy woodland trails and  soak up all the natural history of the area. If the weather is wet then the little ones can avail of the indoor play area. Adults will  enjoy the indoor exhibition and relax by the waterfall or have a tasty treat from the café.
